Degustabox August 2014

Now it doesn’t seem such a long time ago since I got my July Degustabox, but if you read my last post, you’ll know I had a lot of trouble with them and was considering cancelling. Well after receiving this month’s box I’m happy to say I’m not going to be cancelling for now.
Firstly it arrived on time, no messing about, no wrong addresses, nada! Very prompt, got a text to inform me and bish bash bosh, my box was on my desk. Next it wasn’t broken or damaged in any way, hurrah!. I did see quite a few people moaning about the fact Degustabox are now using Parcelforce instead of DPD but to be honest I’m so glad. I and many others received absolutely shocking service from them and I’ve never had any problems with Parcelforce, plus they still tell you when your parcel will be delivered so you’re not missing out on that aspect of the service.

Anyway down to the products, I’m really happy to say I received some great products this month in my box, it’s probably one of the best I’ve received since I started subscribing and I really feel like I got my moneys worth this month.

Cawston Press Apple and Pear Juice
I rather enjoyed this little carton of juice. I’m not one for juices normally because of the sugar content, but as these are not from concentrate, blended with water and there’s no added sugar, they’re quite good! They’re marketed at kids, of which I don’t have, but if you’re looking to put something healthy in your kids lunchbox next term, they might be worth a go!!

Mexican Dave’s Tortilla chips
Tortilla Chips are Tortilla Chips at the end of the day, but it’s nice to see there’s no nasties in these products and they’re only £1 which is much cheaper than Doritos for the same size bag!!!. I’m sure Harry will enjoy these he’s a bit of a tortilla chip fiend. I think I will definitely be choosing these over Doritos for the price alone!!

Brioche Pasquier Pains au Lait
I was so happy when I saw these in my box. I absolutely love Brioche Pasquier and I know you can get their products over here but I always buy some when I’m visiting my aunties in France. I love French pastry and these pains au lait made me very happy.

Brioche Pasquier Pains au Chocolat
Again I’ve had these before as well and I love them. I was happy that they were individually packaged as well as opposed to the pain au lait which all come in one bigger bag.

Berry White Peach and Goji Berry
Another cool organic drink again this month and I very much enjoyed drinking this. I’m really pleased I got the Peach flavour as well as I looooove peach drinks. It also has goji berries and echinacea in it so it’s super healthy for you. Loved it!

Dr Oetker Edible Wafer Cases
When I first opened the box I thought these were the silicone cases which I would totally would have been excited about anyway but upon closer inspection I noticed they were edible cases, which is even better! I’m really excited to try these out so watch out for a recipe using those!!

Schwartz Flavour Shots Spanish Smoked Paprika Chicken and Mexican Fajitas
How cool are these?! Little sachets of flavour mixes in plastic shot glasses. I’m not a big fan of packet mixes and the Maggi ones I tried last month didn’t really float my boat, but I’ll definitely be giving these a go, if only for the novelty factor of the shot glasses.

Lindt Hello Just for You chocolate tin
I love Lindt chocolate, so this was definitely a welcome item and the tin is super cute too so I’ll be definitely be reusing the tin once I’ve eaten all the chocolates!

Caribbean Twist
I think this was the only product I wasn’t really enthusiastic about, mainly because I got very drunk on Caribbean Twist in university and there was an unfortunate puking incident, so all my memories of Caribbean twist relate to that!

MOMA Muesli Multipack Coupon
I think this was a bonus item of such, but I got a nice little coupon for 100% off MOMA! breakfast pots, which I think I’ll be picking up next time I’m in Sainsburys.

Overall I’m really happy with everything this month, the service and the products I received, so I definitely think I will be subscribing for the foreseeable future.
