A few weeks ago I was kindly sent some skincare from a brand called Biomed skincare and I wanted to give them a proper test before posting them.

Biomed skincare is a German skincare brand who create cruelty free organic products that are 98.9% natural and are free from:

  • Parabens
  • Essential oils
  • Synthetic perfumes

Although all the products appealed to me the ones I was most looking forward to trying was the Biobright serum and the Vein Vanish, as I suffer from red marks and I can see some small broken veins appearing on my legs and on my face.

Biobright Serum

The Biobright serum contains an active ingredient SymWhite Plus which comes from pine trees. It promises to
Reduce melanin by 95%
Decrease dark spots by 12%
Treat UV skin pigmentation

The serum was light and non-greasy and easily dispensed using the pipette which I liked. The only thing I found with the serum is after I started using it for a few days I developed a rash all over my face.
Now it was very warm around the time I was testing it so I don’t know if the rash was a reaction or whether it was prickly heat.
I do tend to suffer from prickly heat but I’ve never suffered from it on my face. Sad to say it’s slightly put me off after that and I can’t really comment on the lightening effects as I didn’t use it for long enough.

Vein Vanish
Vein Vanish is a lotion containing an active ingredient called Dermochlorella D which helps reduce the appearance of spider veins by
Inhibiting the binding of VEGF on its receptor
Inhibiting of MMP’s
Stimulating of collagen fibres.

I’ve got some spider veins on my thigh which I have had for as long as I can remember so I didn’t hold out much hope for those but I’ve also few tiny ones around my nose and chin which are new so I was hoping that this lotion might help reduce them seeing as they were already quite minor.

The lotion itself is really nice and quite absorbent without being greasy. I was surprised by how heavily scented it was (which I’m not complaining about as it’s a nice sweet heady scent, in fact it reminds me slightly of the Jimmy Choo perfume).

I noticed a little bit of improvement but I think I would need to use this for longer in order to see some real results.

Ingrown Gone
Ingrown Gone is a lotion designed to prevent and remove ingrown hairs as well as reducing razor burn. It’s suitable for using on intimate areas.
I don’t normally suffer from ingrown hairs as I tend to wax, so I picked up my razor purely for this product. Sure enough after 24 hours I had quite bad razor burn.
It smelled very strongly of alcohol when using but surprisingly it didn’t sting when I applied it to the razor burn. I do have to say it did calm the bumps down somewhat and I didn’t suffer from ingrown hairs, however it didn’t have enough of an effect to subject myself intentionally to the discomfort of shaving again.

Bottom line, if you do shave and you suffer from razor burns and ingrown hairs then this is worth a try.

Body Firmer
Body Firmer is the last product that I was sent. It contains shea butter, avocado oil and aloe vera to moisturise the skin and also Dermochlorella DP which helps increase collagen production resulting in tighter skin.

This has the same sweet scent as the Vein Vanish and is really light and absorbent which is good as the one thing I hate about lotions and creams is when they sit on your skin and you feel sticky. I have to say my skin felt really smooth after using this lotion and weirdly quite taut, but I’m not sure if it was just wishful thinking or whether the cream was getting to work so quickly!

Anyway I do like this product it’s definitely my kind of body lotion in the respect that it’s very light and easy to use and wear without feeling sticky. I’ll definitely continue using this on my thighs as this is where I’d benefit most from a little firming up!
