Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint in Tongue ‘N’ Cheek – £7
* Also just as a note these are currently on offer at Superdrug for £4.35!

This little nail polish gem came into my life when I received my Latest in Beauty box that I had won a week or so before. I’d never heard of the brand before but once I gave them a quick google I saw that Cheeky are the younger sister company of Cowshed which I have heard of.

Tongue ‘N’ Cheek is a gorgeous spring colour. It’s kind of a coral magenta colour, which is hard to describe. In natural light it looks more pinky red, but under artificial light it’s more of an orangey coral. The only other polish I can liken it to Bourjois 10 day nail polish in #25 but I don’t think they make that anymore.

Admittedly the packaging to me is quite confusing. I wasn’t sure what the product was first of all, then when I established it was a nail polish, I thought the shade was Chat me up. It was only when I looked at the bottom of the bottle that I realised it was called Tongue ‘N’ Cheek, so to me this is probably the biggest (and only) drawback.

I believe this is DBP, toluene and formaldehyde free although don’t hold me to that as I only had a quick scan of the ingredients and web information on these polishes wasn’t forthcoming! But hooray for no nasties!

I love that it has a wide brush so I can swipe it on quickly and voila! my nails are painted. I’m not one for waiting patiently when it comes to applying polish. However what impressed me most about this polish was the wear time. I applied one fairly thin coat (no base, no top coat) and the wear time was very favourable- 2-3 days. Considering most of my regular polishes just about manage that with two coats and a top coat I’m impressed!

I also like that they aren’t too expensive. I’m probably a bit jaded with prices of things when I think Essie polishes aren’t that expensive, but at £7 I don’t actually think these are badly priced and also 99p cheaper than Essie!

Overall I’m really impressed with this polish, it’s got a great wear time, it’s a gorgeous color and not too expensive. I will definitely look into some of their other colours.

    1. thankyou! it really does, I think I’ll definitely be wearing this a lot come summertime! 🙂 xx

  1. Ooh that definitely sounds interesting, might have to give it a go! 🙂 x

  2. I usually buy cheap nail polish just because it won’t stay longer than 2 days on my nails. There is one exception though: the red colour. At the moment I have one from Nails Inc and I absolute love it, so I recommend it, if you want to try it! It stays longer, you don’t need any top coat or anything. It’s great! 🙂
