I’ve been subscribing to Glossybox for 2 months now and I have to say so far overall I’m fairly pleased with the boxes I have received. I would have done a review on this box earlier except my accommodation where I live didn’t let me know I had a parcel for over a week, needless to say…

July 2012 Glossybox Products

Anyway down to the products

DuWop Venom Gloss
1. Duwop Venom Gloss
I received the buttercup shade which is a shimmery nude colour but to be honest, applying it to my lips doesn’t have much colour at all. Saying this I will use this as I quite like sheer gloss. It has a very strong cinnamon smell/taste and when you apply it its very tingly for a good 20 minutes. I’m not entirely sure whether I like plumping lipglosses but overall I’m fairly happy with this.

Dr Bronner's Lavender Hand Sanitiser
2. Dr Bronner’s Lavender Hand Sanitiser
I wasn’t sure about this product at first, because I wasn’t sure what I would use this for. I’m still not sure how much use I’ll get out of it now. However the idea’s good. It’s an organic hand sanitiser. If you’re not familiar with hand sanitisers they’re like those gels you can use instead of washing your hands. I do like the idea of it being controlled in a spray, when I use those gel hand sanitisers I often put too much on and end up wafting my hands for ages waiting for them to dry. I also love the smell of Lavender so I probably will use this when I remember.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Relaxing Balm
3.Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Relaxing Balm
When I originally read the description for this I thought it would be completely unsuitable for my hair, because my hair is quite fine and gets greasy quickly so I need volumising lightweight products. I looked at the product on the website however and from what I can tell it looks similar to John Frieda Weather Works. I’ve never used the JF but I’m looking forward to using this.

BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow
4. BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow
I received this in the shade ‘Wolf Howl’. It reminds me of a Barry M shade I used to use a while ago. It’s a loose powder and its quite messy to apply. I don’t think it’s as strongly pigmented as I would like, it was fairly pale when I swatched it on my hand, it was slightly better when I tried it with a primer first. Saying that I do love this colour and I will be using this for a smokey eye look.

Coco Shambhala Shower Gel
5. Como Shambhala Invigorate Shower Gel
I know some people don’t like receiving things like this in their boxes but to be honest I love shower gels. For one it means I don’t have to go out and buy them myself and for another these come in a handy travel size which is useful for when I stay at my boyfriends at the weekend so I don’t have to cart around full size products. I’ve seen that some people received the lotion, which I’m glad I didn’t receive as I am terrible for using body lotions I just forget.
Anyway this has Geranium, Eucalyptus Lavender and Peppermint. I quite like the smell of this, you can smell the Eucalyptus and it’s got quite a herbal smell but I think it’s quite refreshing.

Overall I’d say I’m pretty pleased with this box, there’s a lot of things I will use and even the hand sanitiser I probably will try and use (if I remember)
