Recently I was contacted by a company called Mallzee, who were launching a shopping website which also had a social aspect. I was immediately intrigued as one of my favourite things to do is go on a shopping trip with my friends and I wanted to know how this website would take that concept and turn it into an online presence.
Below is some more information about the upcoming site launch:
Mallzee is about making shopping social. Users create their own personalized shopping mall (Mallzee) by picking their favourite brands and stores from our varied range of choices. From this information, our fancy software will find products matching your personal style and showcase them in your Mallzee!
To add the social aspect… users can invite their friends to ‘visit’ their Mallzee. Friends can discuss product choices and star products they think their friends will love through the chat function and purchase from the mall with great discounts negotiate by us. An added bonus to inviting friends to your mall is that the ‘owner’ of the mall earns money every time anyone buys from their Mallzee!
Currently we have over 200 brands signed up to Mallzee (Urban Outfitters, New Look, Feel Unique and St. Tropez to name a few). We’re really keen to get the word out about Mallzee and get future users excited about the concept.
