After hearing plenty of great things about Origins lately, I decided to take a trip down to my local John Lewis to see what products I could try out. I’ve started using more natural products and dermatologically tested ones as they don’t irritate my skin.
The mask is a dark grey coloured cream with no real smell and upon applying the mask it immediately feels warm, which did alarm me somewhat, as warming usually means my skin is disagreeing with it (I’m looking at you Montagne Jeunesse!), but in all seriousness I would use their masks if they didn’t make me look sunburnt. However the warming soon calms down and the mask dries leaving it quite tight on your face. You only need to leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then wash it off. I usually use a muslin cloth as its much easier to get the mask off although it can still be a little stubborn and it will leave the cloth black!
The mask makes my skin feel really smooth afterwards and I feel that it has started to help to an extent in keeping my skin clear without irritating it although I’ll probably have to try it for a few more weeks to see the full results.
The only downside is that at £19 it is fairly pricey, saying this however you barely need to use any for each application so I’ve not even made a dent in the bottle yet.
Overall I love that it doesn’t irritate my skin and makes my skin smooth and matte, reducing shine and calming my blemishes so I am excited to try more Origins products. It’s a little on the expensive side but worth a try!
