Bounce Rate
Bounce rate is the amount of visitors who come to your site and then bounce right off. This means they only visit one page (usually the homepage) and then leave.
A high unique visitor count is considered a good thing but if they’re all bouncing right off then that’s not good. If your bounce rate is over 60% then it can be surmised that your visitors can’t find what they’re looking for.
An average bounce rate should be between 40-50% but it varies depending on the site purpose. You can find out your site’s bounce rate by using google analytics.
There are several ways that you can improve your bounce rate:
Design
A smart professional well laid out site encourages users to return and stay.
Loading time
If you have lots of images and scripts on your site this can increase your page loading time and for people who don’t have super fast broadband this can be off-putting and they will leave. You can check how fast your page loading time here
Interest
When there is lots of content that is relevant to the user they are more likely to return.
