Revlon Facets of Fuschia Nail Polish – Ā£6.49

This shade was the hot trend of A/W 2011 and when I saw it on Jade from BINTM I instantly fell in love with it. It was different to other shades I’d seen and the dark purple colour was divine, but I found that wherever I went, it was always sold out.

By chance I saw it while browsing for makeup and decided to purchase it on a whim, seeing as I’d wanted it for a while and I hadn’t previously been able to get hold of it.

I was so excited to try out this polish after wanting it so long but upon applying it however I was really disappointed.
It was very thin, sheer and very patchy for a nail polish, in fact one of the worse ones I’ve tried. The application is fairly uneven and feels quite gritty so I would recommend a topcoat. The colour also didn’t look as glamourous and lovely as it did in the bottle, it was more of a muddy grey-black violet colour with pink glitter in it, which didn’t look too appealing at all. It took quite a while to dry as well so I was forever smudging it.

Nevertheless, after applying 3 coats it did actually look nice and resemble the colour of the bottle which I was pleased about. The patchiness disappeared and was a nice dark colour with the pink glitter evenly distributed.

The nail polish is fairly long lasting although, if like me you’re tempted to pick the glitter off, then it’s not.

Another final negative point was that I did find it quite difficult to remove, as with other similar glitter polishes.

I was really excited about this colour and I do love it, I think its unique and gorgeous, the application however is crap and more effort than it should be.
