I’ve finally finished my layout! It’s taken me forever to do but I’m pretty pleased at the outcome. The craters could have been a bit better and I now realise how hard it is to draw girls curves on Photoshop, and hair. In fact pretty much all of it. I used Catherine’s tutorial for the people. The layout is based on a song Saving Grace – The Maine and this is my interpretation of that line of the song.

I’ve also opened my writing portfolio http://rainbowcrush.org which I also did the layout for. I only created a simple layout for that so it wouldn’t detract from the rest of the site. I also took the photograph, which is a place called Collioure that I visited last year.

Now i’ve got the layout up I’m going to be changing a few things around on the site. I’m sure I say this so many times but I forget haha! Yeah I’m getting rid of most of my resources and concentrating on a select few instead.

I finish work next week full time which I’m glad about because it was getting on my nerves. However I’ve got a permanent part time position there for 12 hours a week so I’m really happy about that because I need the money, especially as I want to buy myself a car. I’ve been hunting around for one but I haven’t seen one I like at the moment.

Be the first to like.

OMG! The new layout is so cute! I’ve always wanted to try making illustrations for my layouts but I don’t know what kind of illustration I should do, and it is quite hard!

OO. You opened a portfolio :) Can’t wait to read some writings from you! :D
LOL. That job is really getting in your nerves. But at least you work less hours now, right? But its still good to become a permanent part timer since you get money. ARGH. I really need to get myself a job!

Yeah, I’ll take a picture of the highlights :) I really love it. I was scared at first but nah, its really nice!

LOL. Its because I was always taught how to use a spoon and fork to eat, so its kind of effy when I’m using a fork and knife combination. I know! She should have just leave me alone and enjoy my food. ¬¬

I know, I miss Tyson but Sasha is so like them, it’s really weird! Yeah I think Cindy was a lab! She was cute but I’m glad she found a home.

Awww, your poor cat! I’m not surprised he was like that first, bless him. :( It’s sad when you know about your rescued pet’s past life. Awww sorry about your other cat! :( Hyperthyroidism is a horrible thing for people so I can imagine what it’s like for a pet!

Haha awww. It sucks having money sometimes cause you just wanna spend it all! Wow you spent £94 on two dresses? :| I would never pay that haha. I’m really tight when it comes to buying clothes. LOL I wouldn’t say you’re a beach ball hahahaha. I don’t have any hips, but my doctor says it’s cause I never developed properly because of my bowel problem/losing weight. He said I’d “get hips” when I gained weight. o_O

Wow, I love the new layout! It looks like you put a lot of effort into it and the outcome is great! I wish I could do illustrations aha.

I love the layout on the writing portfolio too! I have another domain which I bought last month, I was going to do a portfolio but I can’t make graphics or anything like that so there would be no point aha.

That’s great you finish work full time and awesome they gave you a part time job! You might not hate it as much only working there part time haha. Good luck saving up for a car!

Woo writing portfolio! I’m glad you found a use for that domain as well. .org is such a lovely extension and I love your site name in a .org too! XD I like the photo you took there too. I used one for my writing portfolio at dreamingless.com too, because I didn’t want to make anything too fancy since the focus is totally on my writings. :)

Congratulations on the permanent position! Hopefully you’ll be saving your money up too. :D

I love the new layout! It’s so cute. I’ll admit I liked the colours in the other one better but this one looks just as good. I don’t have Illustrator so I don’t think I could pull off anything like this. XD

Thank you for your comment on my layout! ^_^ I still think yours is great though. :D My layout looked weird without the sidebar, but it is more spacious and I do like it that way too. I was always so attached to my sidebar!

I don’t think I had the love quote from Corinthians; I just wanted people’s views that were more unique, not just totally quoted from a movie or book or anything.

Yeah it is heavy lugging my laptop around! I love my laptop but I think I, and he! just needed a big break. :P

I know what you mean. :P I love the story I’m working on at the moment but there’s a beginning, end and no middle. My ideas are always unfinished like that. But I just gotta keep remembering, quality not quantity. Doesn’t matter how much I write, it has to be good.

Oh that is good! Before we got wireless, I had to use a cable to connect my laptop to the internet. I still could sit on my bed though :D

I adore the layout! It shows that you put it effort and time to it. Well done =)

wow, this layout looks beautiful! I don’t think I’d have the patience to put so much effort into a layout aha!
Love the writing portfolio too, the layout on there is gorgeous as well (: can’t wait to see new writing up on it!
i would hate to work at a place that got on my nerves, but you got a part time position which is good to hear c: at least it’s not as many hours now, so hopefully it’ll get a lot awesomer !

Aww, this is adorable! I love The Maine, as well, have you ever seen them live? They were at Warped Tour here, once. :) Lots of people seem to be streamlining their resources lately. I haven’t really had any since 2006, but I used to have other content and then I got rid of ALL of it, but then I brought some back. So indecisive!

The layout is wonderful! I wish I could make people like that, I might try out the tutorial :)

I’m loving the look of the portfolio, I can’t wait to see what you’ve been writing :D

I wish I had a job to drive me crazy, I need the money. Hopefully I’ll get one whilst I’m at university, if not I’ll just have to be skint! I also wanted to save up for a car, for when I eventually take my test. I want to get Ford KA, something small :)

Thanks. :) I love yours too, I’ve always wished I could use Illustrator but I just don’t think it’s meant to be. I also have major issues controlling the pen tool, haha.

I love the photo on your portfolio, it’s really pretty. :) Where’s Collioure though? I’ve never heard of it. :S

My boyfriend is saving up for a car at the moment too. :/ They’re so expensive nowadays and it’s so hard to find one you like. Good luck, though! I hope you get one soon. <3

I really like this layout. :D The illustration looks really good.
I need to have a sort through my site as well. I keep saying I’ll do it, but I never seem to get round to it. I’ve already scrapped most of the resources I had and just have a few now. I guess I’ll get round to sorting it one of these days.

Ooh, I hope you find a car that you like soon. It took me ages to find a car before. It felt like I was looking forever, but I finally found one on the Autotrader website. :)
Then I found another one at a garage about a year later. I’m sure you’ll find one before you know it. XD
