Happy New Year everyone! Even though it is now nearing the end of January and I’ve been away for quite some time. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

I did plan for my Christmas break to involve some blogging, but alas I got sick with the flu and that pretty much put me out of action for a good 10 days.

I actually can’t remember the last time I blogged. December is such a busy time with food, friends and festivities. I got some tickets to the preview of Rogue One in IMAX which was super cool! I also adopted another cat, which has taken up a lot of my free time.

I saw a post on Facebook for my local Cats Protection group asking for an emergency foster for this absolutely gorgeous cat, so I asked Harry and he agreed. She has some behavioural problems and the first week we got her she gave me a really nasty bite which bruised.
However over the weeks we’ve had her she’s transformed into this lovely (if not greedy) cat and I have to say I’ve become absolutely smitten with her. I was also worried about what would happen with our current two – Max and Molly, but she has integrated well with them. Bella (her original name was Tinkerbelle) and Max are probably the more friendly of the two. They touch noses a lot and play chase together. Molly’s not overly keen (she’s not on Max either, she’s not a cat’s cat) but I’ve just got them all eating together.

If any of you own cats or have tried to integrate them, you’ll know how hard and time consuming it can be. However we are definitely stopping at 3. No more cats! I think Harry might leave me if we do.

There was also a flea incident. Bella brought fleas in with her (due to being dumped) and although she was deflead straight away, I think they must have gotten into the house and reinfected Bella and Molly so I had a fun time hoovering the entire house and spraying with flea killer.

Finally our basement flooded, so I’m currently in the middle of an insurance claim and I feel like I’m forever ringing people about this that and the other. When do I ever get time for just me?
