Mac Creme Cup Lipstick – £15.50
I’m not a fan of having products on my lips. I tend to lick and wipe them off because I don’t like the feel. This is why I tend to play up my eyes more. I will wear lipbalm and lipgloss when I remember but lipstick generally tends to bug me the most because it dries my lips out and I have a chronic habit of licking my lips.
Anyway I’d been looking for a nice nudey pink colour for my lips and I have been reading some really good reviews about Mac Creme Cup lipstick but I wasn’t sure about how it would look with my skintone but on impulse I nipped into Selfridges last Friday.
I was torn between Creme Cup and Please Me but in the end I went for Creme Cup and I’m really glad I got it.
It glides on really easily and is lovely and soft on. It also has a lovely smell, I couldnt pinpoint it for a while until I realised that it smelled like vanilla. It also gives a nice pale pink sheen on me which isn’t too full on for the day.
I have noticed it isnt longlasting, but I’m not sure if thats my tendency to lick my lips or whether it is a drawback of this lipstick. It possibly could be prolonged with a lip pencil and some lipcote perhaps. It also is a little bit drying despite being a cremesheen, but I found that my lips only got dry after quite some time by which most of it had rubbed off anyway
I’ve posted the swatches below on my hand and on my lips. As you can see I’ve used it quite a lot already. I’d say its probably one of the better lipsticks I’ve tried and I adore the colour, I definitely will be repurchasing when I run out!
I love this colour and the feel although I don’t think it lasts too long before it wears off
