Mac Satin Taupe Eyeshadow – Β£10

For my birthday, Harry got me my first Mac palette and eyeshadow which I was happy about as I’ve been wanting to try Mac eyeshadows for ages. There are quite a few on my list but the one I opted for was a blogger fave- Satin Taupe.

Satin Taupe is a frost eyeshadow and is described as ‘taupe with a silver shimmer’ . It looks quite dark in the pan, which made me think it might be a little too dark as just a wash of colour for everyday, but on the lids it’s a lot more wearable. It’s lovely and soft, definitely on par with Urban Decay eyeshadows and pigmented too. It also lasts all day with a primer, I checked my makeup after 15 hours and whilst quite a bit had faded there was still a considerable amount on which is good going!

I mainly use it in the crease to sculpt my eye for a lovely daytime look, but I was surprised that it looked good as just a complete wash of colour over my lid.

I love this eyeshadow, I’m impressed with quality and pigmentation and it’s so versatile. I definitely think it would suit quite a lot of skin tones and is an eyeshadow you should definitely pick up if you don’t have it in your collection. I can’t wait to get my next additions for my palette.
