Nspa Hot Cloth Polish is probably one of the greatest budget beauty buys I’ve come across so far. I’ve been looking for a general cleanser/makeup remover for a few weeks now, as my Clinique anti blemish face wash just doesn’t do the trick and I find my cotton pads full of makeup when I’m using toner.
I contemplated buying the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser, but it’s fairly expensive at nearly £15. As I was about to shell out for the Liz Earle, I came across this little beauty hiding away on the shelf in Asda by Nspa for £7.
You get a 150ml bottle with a pump dispenser and it also comes with a muslin cloth. The ingredients include Ginseng, Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, Sweet Almond Oil and essential Oil of Neroli. It’s also dermatologically approved, suitable for sensitive skin and paraben free!
You only need a couple of pumps and you massage this all over your face and neck, then rinse the cloth in hand hot water and wipe away the product on your face, rinsing the cloth after each use.
The cream is quite thick, almost like a really intensive moisturiser, which I know what some of you oiler skinned girls are thinking…uh oh this is not for me!
Not so! Although it’s thick and creamy it doesn’t actually make your skin greasy at all and the Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E leave your skin feeling soft and smooth without clogging your pores.
The muslin cloth is about the size of a regular washcloth. I found it difficult to get the makeup stains off it when rinsing, but I think it’s probably not to do with the muslin itself but the sheer amount of makeup and the fact you probably have to give it a proper wash in the machine to get them out.
The only thing I would actually comment on is some people might not like the smell of it. It’s quite strong and spicy like the sort of thing you’d get in a spa. You can definitely smell the Neroli and Ginseng in it, but personally I love the smell as it smells exotic and indulgent and I feel like I’m using a luxurious product.
I actually love this product. Even with my oily skin I don’t find it breaks me out or makes it greasy I actually love this. In fact it improved my skin, and when I left the muslin cloth and at home and stopped using it I actually broke out (word to the wise, definitely always remove your makeup!) I love how it feels like I’m using a luxurious product for such a low price.
I may try the Liz Earle in the future but for now, this is a definite firm favourite.
