Rediscovering a perfume – Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci

This weekend I rediscovered a perfume I got last Christmas as a present, and I remembered how much I loved Ricci Ricci by Nina Ricci.

I love the bottle design because it’s lovely shade of plum and the gradient which makes the bottle look amazing. I also love the cute bow which is incorporated into the lid, making it look like a really feminine perfume.

Ricci Ricci’s scent has heart notes of Moonflower, Indian Tuberose, Centifolia and Rose, top notes of Rhubarb Zest and Bergamot and base notes of Patchouli and Sandalwood.
I’m no perfume connoisseur, but although Ricci Ricci is officially described as a ‘floral’ perfume, I find it more spicy (which is probably the sandalwood and patchouli coming through), rather than fresh and floral, making it suitable for night time wear, but subtle enough that it can be worn in the day.

The other great thing about this perfume is it lasts for hours; you can still get a beautiful waft of it 6 hours after application which I love.

Still one of my favourites and i’m really enjoying wearing it again. Have you rediscovered any old favourites recently?

Ricci Ricci EDP 30ml can be purchased from £32.50 and 50ml can be purchased from £43.50.
