Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof eyeliner has become quite popular recently especially with the addition of their new colours, so a few weeks ago I recently purchased this in Nude as I was keen to give a nude eyeliner a go and especially as I heard it was a dupe for the Mac chromographic pencil.
It does look quite orangey and an odd colour when you swatch it, which does make you wonder if your eyes will look weird, but when applied all your doubts seem to disappear. The only slight issue I have is that if you are overzealous with your application then it looks really obvious you’re wearing nude eyeliner and thus weird, so be sparing with it!
However if you’re careful it looks wonderful and you simply look youthful and awake which is great!
The consistency is so lovely and creamy that it glides on without scratching, which I love. The absolute worst thing about eyeliner pencils are when they’re horribly hard and scratchy and it makes your eyes water!
In terms of durability, it’s not bad, I find most of it however has worn off the waterline by the time I finish work, so approximately 8 hours which isn’t bad going. I’m pretty sure I probably rub my eyes a lot; I am most definitely a face toucher!!
Overall, the eyeliner is lovely and soft to apply. In my experience it’s not long lasting on the waterline with only traces lasting over 8 hours but having not tested it on the lids or anywhere else I can’t comment on the durability of it. However it has more pros than cons and at £3.99 it is worth it in my opinion, especially if you are using it for the same function as I am.
Rimmel Scandal eyes waterproof liner can be purchased from any supermarket or drug store for £3.99
